Reply to comment by FGoose in Divine Lorraine Hotel by FGoose

That was painted and left on the roof of the Lorraine for years and years when it was decrepit. On the north side. It was there maybe 10 years? At least 6. In fact I doubt it was removed until they redid the roof. But people here either didnt go to temple (most likely) where you could see it from campus or haven’t been in Philly that long.

i'm reading a book called "raven" about jim jones and the people's temple. he tried to steal father divine's congregation for his own in the late 60's after he died.

Whole Foods and Trader Joes both have it, but honestly in almost every recipe subbing Sour Cream (or even a thicker greek yogurt) in place of Cream Fraiche will basically produce the same result. If you need a ton of it in the recipe and you sub it might be a bit tangier but honestly they're so similar its hard to tell the difference unless you're just eating them by themselves IMO.

Was is/was this building? Was it an actual hotel in the past? I think I saw something about it being apartments now, not sure.

I wouldn't necessarily call Lee a shitty strategist (from a logistics standpoint, he was destined to lose so he did play a bad hand reasonably well for a while), but it's true his reputation is almost entirely built on McClellan being chicken shit. He should be remembered for being a loser and a morally repugnant human being, both in his personal life and for supporting the worst case known to mankind.
