Reply to Temple should be one of the first U.S. universities to offer period leave - The Temple News by dissolutewastrel
This is a student opinion piece… I read one once about how unfair it was that Temple charged Jersey residents more, just completely ignoring how state funding works.

Just another example of being “progressive” while accomplishing the exact opposite

i think a lot of people don’t realize that some people need distilled water for medical reasons (like CPAPs) … or if you have picky plants like i do 😂😂

Reply to comment by pleeplious in Parent is getting referred to Penn Neurology for suspected ALS. Anyone here have a recommendation regarding specific doctor? by pleeplious
Christina Jackson is a very skilled neurosurgeon but won’t be able to help with als
Agree with others to specifically schedule at the als clinic as she’ll need comprehensive care

They are not law officers (police) they are mall cops. They don't have the training, I'd say they're not accountable but neither are the police.
Saying officer confers them the status of being law enforcement. They were not anymore than blackwater is the us military

Reply to Transferring septa funds by zjheyyy88
If it's registered on septa key, its an easy process. Add new card, report previous card expired/lost and transfer balance.
If the numbers have worn off so you can't register it, i think they can transfer balance for you at septa hq 1234 market, unsure of the hours.
Be sure to register your new card! https://www.septakey.org/

not the person you were replying to but I think their comment was because the woman didn't die. She was taken in to the hospital in critical condition and (from another article) is now in stable condition.
>I think it's the fact they died that makes them the victim because generally death isn't the punishment for having debt

From the article:
>Landlord-tenant officer shoots woman in head during eviction, police say
>A Philadelphia deputy landlord-tenant officer shot a woman...
>The incident took place inside the Girard Court Apartments in Sharswood shortly after 9 a.m. Lt. Jason Hendershot, of the Police Department’s officer-involved-shooting unit said ...
>Philadelphia courts rely on a private attorney, appointed by Municipal Court’s president judge and known as a landlord-tenant officer...
>This attorney deputizes private security contractors...
Not sure which article you are reading to say "it was not an officer, as the article also made clear, it was an armed private contractor in civilian clothes". Yes it was a private contractor but yes, they are an officer, deputized and all...as the article made abundantly clear

Reply to Toddler Found Alone in Locked Car Outside Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia, Police Say by ActionJawnson
Oof either way this is sad. Either someone working had no other option and locked their kid in the car while they worked the casino or dude is so addicted to gambling he chose to do this. I feel really bad for this kid. And yeah I remember the 80s/90s when I’d ask my mom if I could wait in the car while she grocery shopped but tbis isn’t that…

Some asshole who lives next to me parks his box truck in front of my house/on my tree. He has broken almost half of the branches off and put a huge gash in the trunk. So fucking infuriating. I’ve been caring for my tree for four years now.
