Yeah, been seeing a lot of people saying that they never drank from the tap to begin with. Tap water in Philly is actually very clean. I drink from the tap every day except when there are spills like earlier this week.
I do use a pur water filter in my home.

You’re right, turns out it was completely necessary.

Merit is by far the best ALS doctor I have ever met. She runs multiple trials through MGH. I know it may be a burden but try to get an apt with her or at least watch her talks/interviews as she can provide amazing landscape of ongoing trials.
Stay strong. ALS is a daily grind. My pops is starting year 5 since his diagnosis and while things are definitely getting harder he is still with it.
Another thing to know is that if/when non invasive ventilation is needed talk with Jason:

He’s a lung doctor but specializes in als and can help prevent the need for a trach

Um, a lot of people drink tap water ya know. Also do you realize just how much water people use from the tap? Hint: it’s a lot. So your assumption about what people planned to do is way off

I just wanna know what all these morons were gonna do with all that water they bought, even if there was a contamination. Did everyone in Philadelphia drink tap water, and boil pasta every 2 hours?!?

Yeah key piece of information there…3BR. My studio around 16th and spruce was $1,300. A studio in my next building in Old City was $1,650 and had a pool and gym.

What you posted is the source. The same source eviction defense groups use actually, the L&I site. This person was probably eligible for eviction diversion but the city does piss poor outreach in making that clear. You need a valid rental license to even file an eviction, but people still get evicted extrajudicially or sign over their right to fight it in court in exchange for rent forgiveness. End of the day someone was SHOT IN THE HEAD for refusing homelessness.

3BR apartments in new buildings are definitely more expensive than a 3BR row home

Counterpoint: unlike the police this person can actually get fired, and likely doesn't have qualified immunity. It's not much, but it might actually be an upgrade considering that.

The chicken/beef/veg stock and beer were also literally entirely full so I assume people were not thinking all the way through their actions.
