Nearly $40k. But I had tons of issues. I was going to remove just the stucco and replace the windows and add brick veneer. But once we got to the first brick layer, everything was crumbling. The new windows would have no support. The second brick layer was worse. So we literally removed the whole front of the house, reframed it and added a brand new layer of bricks. The original ballpark was $20k. That’s not including the cost of the windows.

It's a brand new high-rise in Rittenhouse Square. Why would the apartments be below $2000? There are endless apartments far cheaper than that in the neighborhood and all over the city. The absolute nicest housing in the third most populated downtown in the country just isn't going to be super cheap - and there's no reason it should be.

Public transit anywhere really. There was a shooting in the Potomac Ave Metro station in DC yesterday, a man slashed on the A train in Brooklyn yesterday, a PBS reporter randomly punched in the face on the subway in NYC Monday, etc. etc. etc.

Our system needs to be fixed, but people always speak as though this stuff only happens here when that's not at all the case.

3 uniforms from healthy cops that resigned to serve elsewhere---somehow ignoring the ridicule of Redditors as they drive out on 95 South.

Anyone who can not show the slightest care for their outward appearance like these chubs hasn't the fortitude to be an affective police officer.

But this is the police force that you have leftover; filled with 3rd tier rejects that never leave leftovers.

No. We held on for a long time but the reporting on many issues is sketchy at best. I was tangentially involved in a news story they covered extensively and they truly just ignored a huge relevant portion -- despite having the information. They definitely put a spin on some stories. I actually tend to agree with their biases in most cases, but I want objectivity from my news, not to be told the progressive party line.
