hope he picks up all the extra trashed plastic that'll end up in the streets and blow out of people's recycling bins

I am aware of that, thanks. I pretty clearly articulated that I was commenting on people discussing things as though they are only problems here (“its so easy to become an innocent bystander in Philly”), as though it’s not the same elsewhere - hence me mentioning what’s happening in other places. I also said that OUR transit system needs to be fixed.

I desperately want to see this happen, if only for the Reading-Pottstown-Phoenixville connection. The bars and restaurants within walking distance of each of those trains stations are phenomenal.

The PPD even lets that one fat cop ride around passyunk all day on a Segway. And I would assume it was paid for by the department since it’s got PPD badges and shit on it. Real Paul Blart type shit right there.

You're aware this is r/philadelphia, where people talk about things that are related to and happen in Philadelphia, right? This "as though this stuff only happens here" seems like a projection and willful misunderstanding on your part.

There's a lot of fish sauce used though, in tofu and noodle dishes too. Was hoping there would be some dedicated and labeled veg food.

The city itself... not so much anymore.
Don't get me wrong, it will still be found there. It's just more in the upper-middle class "they absolutely are entitled to respect, equality, and equity - but I'd prefer that they receive those things somewhere else" kind of way
The "fully aware that they're racist assholes and don't give a fuck about making it known" types have been priced out to the south shore

Because there's a difference between cheap vs affordable housing. Every new complex, regardless of location, is branded as luxury housing.

Put a big tag at the top that says "Application to serve alcoholic beverages."
That'll get the nosy neighbors going.

Regulations are written in blood.
When you don't get a permit you own ALL the risk of the work. Redoing the facade requires a permit because most brick is structural. You can't simply re-lay brick and expect it to perform. You need to meet modern building code. (Same goes for stucco, siding, etc). If you fail to follow code you could have water and mold, poor workmanship with no recourse, or be fined heavily by the City.
If your home causes damage to anyone and you don't have a permit, you will be screwed if not dead because it killed you.

honestly I'd rather Manyunk but that's because the Wissahickon station is in a bad spot compare to the transit center itself
