Reply to comment by ConsciousLiterature in Naturally Fine Tuned for Life - A Defence of Metaphysical Naturalism by Colin_Mangan
The idea is that the values of the universal constants have to fall within a very narrow range in order for life to exist. If they were different by even a tiny amount, then life could not have emerged. What is meant by "fine tuning" is the fact that these values even permit life to begin with.

I think that would be "helping in response to need".

I don't understand the claim that the universe is fine tuned for life.
99.999999999999999999999999999% of the universe (probably more) is just empty space full of deadly radiation which is hostile to life.
75% of the rest of the universe is dark matter and dark energy.
Of the rest 99.9999999999999999999999% of it are stars and black holes.
Of the rest the vast majority are gas giant planets.
Even on a planet with life such as the earth life is just on the very thin crust of the planet.
If the universe was fine tuned for life it would be teeming with life. All that empty space would be full or thriving organisms.

Of course, emotional control is a part of growing up. It's a skill. Until recently I dismissed it. But now knowing it's actual our own choice; free will, it's a must now.

Then we should learn how to use emotions conscioslusly. For example: in a funeral, you obviously must cry, but when you do it, do it in a correct manner.

Many would argue that there are indeed other forms of knowing beyond or beneath language.
An example- the concept of physical intelligence; the continuous act of manipulating our body in space, using sensory inputs from our sensory organs, subconsciously. It's so innate that we forget that this is a condition we live with, always.
One may argue that this condition I describe is empirical, after all. It can be measured, observed, by nature of the veracity of the scientific studies' conclusions that are the evidence for my statements above. But.. In the process of waking life, we do not have to count anything, to "know" that this knowledge is real.

Emotions are the effect of the chemicals. Our will is the reaction to not act based on those emotions or consciously use the emotions to do something.
Here's an example. When tired, look up with eyes open for 15seconds, you'll be awake and alert. Consciously choose to do that when you can take advantage of how said act affects you physically.

Maybe emotions (the human ones) are also part of the soul? I mean, the only emotion animals can have is fear, right?

If the brain has damage, then I'm not really sure. I can't really speak for those with my limited knowledge on the subject (special needs)

Now that i think about that, if people with down syndrome or other impairments were actually mindless, they would act by istinct and not by empathy and emotion.

I should have used paragraphs.
The first part about lying to the media was my opinion on his statements. I do think that people deserve to be upset that he lied when asked about his status.
The second part of my comment was addressing the person who I was replying to. I was telling them that I feel like the league and team deserve shit for him breaking protocols, because they knowingly allowed it to happen. His status was no secret and they allowed it to pass when they should have punished him like they claimed would happen.
