Def. tuna. I've had whale in Japan (didn't know it when I ate it) and it was pretty much transparent. Although I suspect it wasn't the meat, but some fatty bits.
Edit: I just googled whale meat and it's almost black-red.

Maybe it's a To Catch A Predator thing. They just arrest anyone who walks in.

I wouldn’t bother if you’re on the fence, it was nothing special at all in my opinion. In fact the real highlight of that dinner was my wife finally taking revenge on the horse that kicked her in college by eating one of his cousins.

The expiration dates are 2 weeks into the future

Fun fact: Spiny lobsters like Panulirus ornatus here are actually better at defending themselves against predators than lobsters with claws. They use their spines and long antennae (which are also covered in spines) as weapons and will even use their tails to drive the antennae into the eyes of their attackers. Big ones are formidable, even for human divers.

Mackerel. It’s an oilier fish, full of flavor, but stronger flavor and smell than others

My guess is that it is an effective camouflage scheme in its natural environment! Flourishing coral reef biotopes are kaleidoscopic with color and patterns

Yes, even among other types of lobster it is more highly valued. They also have figured out how to raise them in captivity, so they probably aren't going anywhere anytime soon.
