A lot of times when you see that, it’s a widow who bought a plot and future headstone next to her dead husband. Later, she ended up getting remarried, and decided to be buried with husband #2 instead. Thus the devoted first husband gets cucked into the afterlife.

there are days when i, too, feel like an exhausted frog who has resigned himself to that fact that he will be forever haunted by a red square full of arcane letters.

some days, i can even hear the square nattering its fast-forward gibberish into my ear, and it does not listen when i tell it that i just want to lie on my back and be shiny.
