Right now she wants to do animation or comics, I think. I'm glad she's still taking art classes in school so it forces her to learn skills outside of her wheelhouse.

She loves drawing on her phone. I offered to get her a drawing tablet or whatever she'd need, but she said she prefers her phone so I'm like okay whatevs 💃

This looks fake. Seems like OP photoshopped a painting on a blank piece of paper. The piece of paper is curved, but the painting on it is not. This is most apparent on the right side edge of the painting. The lighting is inconsistent between the painting and the fingers. Oh, and speaking of fingers, those right hand fingers are ROUGH on the edges.
But OP's user page seems legit, u/majozaur did you just photoshop your own art on a blank piece of paper?

Reply to comment by BarredOwl in Mexican quake dogs returning from Turkey were given first class seats on Turkish airlines. by beneaththeslope
Your comment made me curious about how dogs usually travel in airplanes, and some googling later: me thinks not being in a box in economy already is the equivalent to first class…
I found some hilarious guidelines, saying that pets can travel in a box that fits under the seat in front of yours. That’s like a 40cm/1 foot space. I’d not even want the tiniest of dogs to travel like that.
Other ways are more like checked baggage, also in a box of course, and unless you specifically train a dog to do that, it seems like a horrible thing to do to your regular pet.
I am not surprised the dogs from OP get special treatment. They are trained to do one thing specifically, and anything that could mess them up psychologically (like being trapped in a box away from their handlers for hours in an airplane) has to be avoided, so they can do what they’ve been trained for.

So... Earth?
I'm not sure what this has to do with soup in a (bread) cup, tho.

My daughter also made wonderful art around that age, later went to art school, and now has a career that uses those skills. I hope your kid reaches her artistic goals, whatever they are.

My Girlfriend’s daughter roasted broccoli last night as part of a roasted veggie side dish. It was….interesting.

Help a Yankee out here. What makes it a Live Oak? Is that a species? I know White Oak and Red Oak, but Live Oak, IDK.

Same, it is basically 2 seats in that row instead of 3 and better cushioning on the seat.

Did you get a chance to walk around them?
When i was younger we’d go up River Road, north of New Orleans, and visit old plantations. Many of them had sprawling rows of Live Oak, which were often well over 100 years old. All of the different shapes and branches were awe-inspiring just to walk around.

If yer regular fluid is already frozen, it's likely frozen in the lines to your sprayers. Adding methyl hydrate to the reservoir is fine if ya want to, but you are likely up shit creek until you park in a warm garage or the temp rises enough to thaw the line to the sprayers.
Id prefer just adding a winterblend if you can find it vs using methyl hydrate myself.

This just triggered a childhood memory for me. Feels reminiscent to a strawberry in a children's book I read when young. Maybe something with a mouse in it. Dang.

Yes. They retain their leaves though the winter unlike some other species of oak trees.
