Obviously fireworks could be what I’m hearing, but it’s daylight and a weird time for that. Am I going crazy? I’ve heard like ten shots over the course of 20 minutes now.

I heard them as well, and although the police shooting range is close, I have never heard that before, and it sounded much closer than that.

The range is down by Washington Blvd. it’s heard a lot in highland park because it’s above the range. I doubt you would hear it in m-side though.

Just a heads up, you can absolutely hear the shooting range at that end of morningside. It gets more pronounced in the fall and winter when there are less/no leaves.
