My husband and I are looking to relocate to the Pittsburgh area from Texas in the next few months and are trying to figure out which neighborhoods or suburbs might be a good fit for us. We're a same-sex couple in our late 30s. Our tastes are generally more suburban in that we want to be in a safe area where we can find a good sized, affordable home (~400K) with a backyard, garage, sidewalks where we can walk our dogs, and easy access to lots of good restaurants. We don't have or plan to have kids, so school districts don't really matter. We also both work from home, so location for job isn't super important. I know jerks can be found anywhere, but we do want to make sure we're in a suburb or neighborhood that is overall welcoming to LGBTQ+ people though. Any particularly recommended neighborhoods/suburbs, or ones that you all would recommend steering clear of?
