Reply to Canton Avenue in Pittsburgh: The Steepest Street in the United States - Uncovering PA by oldschoolskater
When I first moved here Pokémon Go came out. This street was the closest pokestop to me, and I still had to drive there. So one day I drive up and park, then sit in my car and do pokémon go stuff. Then a guy and his family come up to talk to me about the street and how he had to come see it and yada yada.
I didn't have the heart to tell him I was there to catch pokémon.
Then I didn't notice the sign saying not to drive down, and drove down. It was fine.

It is, and honestly I would consider AHN > UPMC since there’s a very large push for UPMC to lose its nonprofit status. It is safe for now, but there almost always efforts to remove it.

Yes, it’s another hospital network in Pittsburgh.

I'm not familiar with AHN. Is it a 501(c)(3) / nonprofit? This matters for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program.

I am an APP in Oncology. I currently work at AHN, but have experience at UPMC as well. Work environment, work/life balance, autonomy, etc are l highly specific to where you work and who you work with. In general, AHN pays more than UPMC. Benefit costs and structure are very similar. You can message me for more specific details if you’d like.

Ugh, my family lives in Wichita, and when I'm visiting and someone asks me where I'm from, I have to specify PA.

Reply to Automotive Rust Repair Recommendations by g_h_o_s_t_
Most shops will not touch rust, including the one I work at. We just did a VW rocker replacement for $2800, and it still needs the other side done, we did it for a long time customer. And it was "a deal". A ton of work to do right, and it'll probably return eventually.
I'd try Rust Repair Inc like someone else mentioned. You're probably looking at at least $1K to paint the rocker and blend the quarter panel.

Are you looking to work there? What kind of work environment are you coming from? I can give you some insight but DM me.

I have a super bowl XL beer. I keep wanting to drill and drain it but it will lose the value. I know what I got!

Thanks. My brother and I did the "Dirty Dozen" route (on our own) when we were in town visiting my sister.

That, my fellow Redditor, is outstanding. I rode with my friend ONCE to that street. Looked at it and said “hell no”.

One of these days, my uncle’s going to get real thirsty and crack open those Penguin’s Coke cans from 91-92.

You have to make sure your garden is not in the flight path of the flying storage unit.

Whenever I'd ride my motorcycle up Rialto I'd have to stand up and lean over the handlebars because I felt like I would flip backwards.

I've done Canton and Baldwin Street in New Zealand. Guess I have to get to Wales now to finish the circuit.
