I live close to PPG paints for over 4 years now without a car. There is a bus stop right next to my apartment which makes it convenient to carry groceries and not mule a lot. I do have an attached covered parking but it’s quite expensive 150$ per month.

Really trying to be more conscious of my overtipping. Had every job in the service industry before owning some places for about a dozen years. I even tipped my mailman a multiple of the legal guidelines. Basically if there’s a tip line, I leave something and I feel like it’s almost egregious at some places.

And if I’m honest, I’ve worked with dozens of folks who don’t deserve nearly as much as others and just expect it.

I guess I would say at least tip a minimum but tip what you feel the service warrants.

We have a lot of birds here that sing year round/more frequently in January and February than other songbird species (Northern Cardinal, Black-capped Chickadee, American Robins, Song Sparrows and the loudest of the bunch--House and Carolina Wrens). The increase in sunlight over the days, though minimal for us to notice, does impact the increase in frequency of their morning songs as they prepare/practice for mating season.

Yeah I’m not sure why you were downvoted for that. I’ve lived here 28 years and although there are anomalies (I see you 2010), the area has gotten noticeably less snow every year. Also later first snow falls, too.

It would be great if someone were working on getting yellow buses back for all students and removing the free PAT passes. Initially the students started hanging around that corner because the city buses can’t fit everyone at once, so they needed to wait through several cycles. (Plus the PAT drivers won’t take more than a few at a time and I do not blame them one bit.) Now I’m sure they’re hanging around because it’s, well, the hangout spot, but if their free ride home left at 2:20 in front of Dice and it’s that or pay or walk, they’d mostly take the yellow bus and the critical-mass element would be removed. I’m not saying this is a cure for all ills, but it would take some of the pressure off the areas around the school.
