I think they mean the kinda bar that is a beer and shot bar. The tap list consists of Iron, Iron Light, Miller, Coors, and if they want to be fancy, Yuengling. The most exotic cocktail is going to be a Jack and Coke or Captain and Coke. The music is just DVE on the radio and the only time it gets turned down is during the evening lottery. It will have a pool table and poker machines.

Insulation and sealing of drafts make a huge difference. As a renter, unfortunately, there's usually nothing you can do about the former, and little you can do about the latter. As such, this becomes a potential major hidden cost for renters. Some people request to see historical utility bills before signing rental agreements for this reason, it can be a major factor in deciding where to live.

Carryout: A couple bucks is fine if the order isn't huge.

Pizza Delivery: If the place has its own delivery driver, 5 bucks is about right. More if it's an especially large order.

Sitting and Eating: Having tons of friends that work in the service industry, if you tip less than 20%, you will be known as a cheapskate. 20% is the new 15%. 15% has been a bad tip for well over 10 years now.

Also, I personally tip 20% for both carryout and pizza delivery. You won't be thought of as cheap if you don't do that, but I've always tipped well and have upped that even more because of people being forced to work during a pandemic.

Right??? I'm a nanny. The kids were sent home yesterday with all their textbooks in preparation for a zoom day. I was looking forward to a lazy morning not rushing kids out the door. It picked up just in time for me not be able to pull the minivan up the driveway after dropping off the elementary kid.

You’re not wrong at all. That accountability thing could go a long way for some here who don’t even realize how they make it worse more than better.

If you ever figure out how to get that understood by the people let me know lol.

And stay warm today. Gross out

The other part, as illuminated for me today, is that part of this is a radar artifact. The center of the "hole" is actually the radar site out in Moon, and as the precipitation dropped closer to the ground, the hole more or less closed around Moon (with lots of variations based on elevation).

This is because the radar shoots up at an angle, so the further from the site you are, the higher in the atmosphere the returns are happening.
