I’m exhausted by the way people drive anymore. Passing a stopped school bus with their stop sign out is just unacceptable.

Might be a good idea in highly urban areas to allow kids to cross at lighted crosswalks. Many (most?) Places school busses stop don't have this especially in more rural areas. Additionally many kids don't have a handy older adult that can just show up at the bus stop to pick them up. Unfortunately most people dont live a life of work at home privilege.

I live downtown in the Clarke Building. The city has a few lots downtown. They are not cheap. I think I pay $185 for parking at the Grant Street garage. However, it is well lit and I have not had any problems.

NIMBY stands for not in my backyard. At its basic level, a situation like this one could lead another person to think all bus stops are bad, when the real problem is lack of enforcement for behavior issues. If the city tries to expand or improve bus service, someone will always complain ”what about those evil teenagers or druggies”
