There should be a shroud on the lights to keep horizontal light pollution to a minimum. No need to light up the sky, should be reflected downwards…. Should be an easy fix for them if they feel like being a good neighbor….

I have had this happen twice with different signs as I live behind a shopping center.

I don’t know if there is some kind of burn in time before they seem dimmer or if I just got used to them, but after a month or so it wasn’t bad anymore.

They're not, but if underpaid, overworked, undertrained civil servants don't bother to go out and enforce it, call Budget Blinds or Automated Shade (you need shades and side... shield things to fully block out light - curtains always leave gaps above and to the sides).

Bitch, you ain’t Chick-fil-A! You can’t skip steps between A-Z. You better earn the right to enforce some bs rule. Can I get a “my pleasure”from upper management ?

Plus, I have a young-ish client who worked at one near Altoona and was treated to constant racist remarks by coworkers, management didn’t have much to say about that. She quit.

Apteka started with a crowd funding campaign too.

Update to say that before they opened Apteka, Tomasz and Kate started this all with these awesome all you can eat pierogi vs (some other cuisine) nights (starting back around 2008 maybe?) that eventually settled at the community centre on Main St. They were so popular there were always lines out the door. IIRC they bought the building that is now Apteka but they did the crowdfunding for the renovations since it was not configured as a restaurant before. Stop the downvotes and hate here guys. They were really scraping together and had built a lot of support with a loyal community for years before Apteka.

Tepache in mars (obviously not the city...but). My husband is from LA and is constantly disappointed by Pittsburgh restaurants. I took him here for his birthday and he said it was the best birthday dinner he has ever had. We especially loved the spicy broccoli sprouts
