Indian grocery stores have groundnut oil(same as peanut) though I dunno if it is the roasted variety you are looking for.

Yeah I've been flossing and brushing at least twice a day since I was a kid (my pediatric dentist told me kids that don't take care of their teeth might bite into an apple and pull their teeth out by accident) and I've had several fillings and am probably due for a root canal soon since my filling that's been redone twice is sore. I don't smoke, no dip, no sodas, one cup of coffee a day, too

Alla Famiglia is delicious, but it’s large expensive Italian steaks or veal served with a big side of pasta. It’s a “fancy” white tablecloth vibe (read: 1980s Italian in pittsburgh fancy), not a grandma’s kitchen vibe.

I grew up very close to the hospital and somehow it's even worse today. mckeesport is a truly depressing place to be and the people who live there are generally just trying to scrape by. There is literally nothing in mckeesport to see or do.
You'd be much better served working there and living just about anywhere else. I cannot stress how rough and bad of an area it is. I say this as a dude who lived there the first 18 years of my life and attended all the schools. I have never seen a single thing get better there and just recently I learned the boys and girls club was closed. It's not a very well received hospital. It's the last place I'd choose anywhere nearby.

Wouldn't this be illegal? Discrimination against people with medical issues?

A friend witnessed someone trying to evade cops on the parkway near Monroeville so I assume it’s connected?
I came down Swissvale Ave to get onto S. Braddock, traffic was backed up so we rerouted to Greendale. Cops on foot looking near the old Foodland. Looks like whomever they are looking for ditched a silver sedan and took off to what I assume would be Nine Mile Run area of Frick.
Avoid the inbound exit of Edgewood/Swissvale! It’s completely blocked and looks as if said silver sedan may have hit a few cars who were waiting at that light.

They’re all over Frick park. I was walking my dogs and they asked me if I’d seen a Black man with dreads running.

To continue to bring attention to these injustices. His parents asked for PEACEFUL protests also. I get that the cops were arrested but it keeps happening. The gravity of the situation needs to stay top of mind is all and changes made to protect people from these sorts of crimes.

I formed my opinion (media and Americans at large get selectively angrier at police brutality instances depending on the racial makeup of those involved) on events prior to this one. Ex: look up tony timpa. White guy who had a similar incident to George Floyd. No one cared, seemingly.

Most protests were not only for that reason. It was also to protest the systemic racism people of color, specifically Black people, encounter in the U.S.’s police system. Even if the police officers are held accountable, there are still tons of systems to allow what happened to happen again and again in the future.

I have a friend who works in an industry that I permit for now that I work for the state.
She's been absolutely terrified of us having lunch together when she comes by cause "what if someone accuses you of taking a bribe?!?!"
I'll have to send this to her with a "Can we please go get pho now?"

Personally, seeing Tyre Nichols’ murder at the hands of those who are being paid by all of our tax dollars to protect and serve, triggers rage and deep sadness, realizing that while these cops were quickly arrested and charged with murder (great progress, yes), there are still clearly serious problems within police culture that need to be addressed. How many similar things continue to happen that just aren’t caught on camera. People still have huge reason to fear/distrust police. This incident brings up for me, flashbacks to people I’ve known who have been victims of police brutality. I don’t know what to do with the overwhelming feelings of anger, frustration, rage and a peaceful demonstration of support of Tyre’s family and loved ones, surrounded by others who feel similar, seems like one way to cope in a healthy way with these feelings. That would be my primary goal. For me, it may also show that people feel more needs to be done on the issue of police brutality, in general. When people don’t speak up, everyone can assume everyone’s good with everything. These are just some of my thoughts about it.
