By nothing I mean someone shouldn't pay for your entire meal directly, if you're at aeeting and they just have coffee and donuts or what we that's for everyone and you just take a serving that's different than someone buying you dinner. And offering someone a water isn't buying in influence, it's just being courteous. Just saying that they shouldn't purchase for a state employee anything specifically, but common sense would say that if there's something so immaterial as a donut or a bottle of water that they can take it, but if someone wants to buy an entire meal, the state employee can pay for it themselves.

I'm not interested in your bullshit attempt to change the subject but the facts of police killings are utterly clear. Approximately twice as many white people are killed by police than black people, but black people make up a much smaller proportion of the American population. The only person playing fast and loose with the statistics here is you, and your half-assed caveats illustrate that pretty well. In this comment you are doing exactly the thing you just complained about, lol.

Granted, it was an old row house and it was before Lawrenceville was THE hot neighborhood, but holy shit, I cannot believe that less than 15 years ago I was paying $750 a month in rent there and now some landlords are asking 6 times that.

Please feel free to prove either of my claims wrong, I mean it should be easy according to you. Give me the southern city that has more raw gun deaths than the cities I listed or show me higher per Capita white vs people of color deaths by police.

I tip 20-25% for good service, as a lifetime service industry worker. Even for sub par service, I will tip something, because of the wage discrepancies. I'm still in the service/ working class, so I'm very, very far from rolling in dough. It would take some pissing in my Cheerios level bullshit for me to not leave any tip in this country, especially these days. People are over worked, over stressed, and under appreciated.

I've taken to the idea that much like required military service, American citizens of all backgrounds should be required to do a year of work In the service industry, minimum. The only exemptions are the same thing that would disqualify you from the military. It would take a lot

There's a whole lot of data on self worth involved, and empathy for others. And for the love of god of you can go out for a thing, tip what you can if the service is decent.
