The clouds don’t bother, but the amount of rain lately has been infuriating.

I would love to be able to live downtown and not need a car. But this is America and it just isn’t built to be car free. Sure you can do it some places but it is more difficult and annoying. And there are something’s that you can’t do.

It's been an extremely snowless winter throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic; except for Northern New England. West of the Mississippi though, winter has been more of what they would expect.

Too much, literally just a money grab to see if they can get someone with so much $$$ that rent doesn’t matter to them

I believe the rat is called scabbie, and represents scabs, ie union busters.

I guess screw the people who need to drive to work from downtown lol. I’m all for making market square pedestrian only but you cannot possibly think most of downtown needs to be that way.

Foodland closed when I was maybe 4 years old but true to my yinzer roots, I will never call it anything else. That and for the life of me, I can’t remember what the hell it is now.

They never do. Cops don't actually prevent or solve crimes.

Not sure why you're being downvoted. Less cars in a city center is always a good thing. We can debate how much that would help with shootings but I'm happy to throw drive bys on the "reasons to have less cars" list.

Umm… I suppose it is. And as early morning turns to midday, I assume we’ll move on to talking about the next not-entirely-ordinary (if not-entirely-unprecedented) thing that happens in some part of our city.

I remember reading it was the influence of the Great Lakes. The largest bodies of fresh water in the world influence weather for a big part of the midwest and northeast. Because of the lakes, we're pretty insulated from the coming water crisis in the drought belts of the south and west.

As opposed to the cops assigned there who didn't prevent this or the next one?
