My other secret (better for people going north) is to wait on the street on arch street next to the aviary. Then drive down the newly reopened merchant street underpass when the walkers near the red lot 7A and 7B on martingdale. Pick them up at this road or the light with reedsdale. Turn left on reedsdale. Go 1 block and follow the HOV lane for 279 north. And you’re whisked out of the north side. This could also work for OP but you’d want to them exit on Camp Horne road and take mount nebo road to 79 south heading for the airport

You can absolutely have him drive to walking distance to the stadium. And then wait in traffic for an hour like almost everyone else does. Know that this is the plan for thousands and thousands of people. But this is insanity. You can do better.

Please use our public transport. There’s a free newish subway station connected to the stadium. It will be filled with concert goers (not scary) and will have very frequent trains (beyond what online says) to pick them up when the concert ends.

This is the end of the line. So you can’t go the wrong way. Just get on a train!

If you’re going toward the airport, ride this train (for free) to the 1st avenue station. Have your husband wait on the street or in the parking garage near this station. When you arrive, turn left on grant street and follow the ramp for 376W. Within seconds you’ll be on 376W heading for the airport and will have to go through the fort Pitt tunnel, but will be coming from the opposite direction as everyone else and will be in the correct lanes for it without needing to merge. Should be almost no wait driving this route.

Or you could travel 2-4 more stops (beyond the free fare zone but who cares no one will notice in the concert crowd) and the subway will take its own tunnel and get you beyond the tunnel entirely. But this will probably take longer.

My husband and I did an orienteering course with True North and it was AWESOME. On top of being super informative and well-designed, it was a blast. We learned about maps and navigation techniques, then actually used them in different ways. I highly recommend True North!

As for your route, I live by the airport & find it's a much more pleasant drive to take rt. 65 Ohio river boulevard into the city. It might be a little longer but factoring in concert traffic I would bet you will get down there faster.

Absolutely NOT the casino. Assuming this is Taylor Swift it was an absolute disaster last time getting an Uber. Def take the T as far away as you can.

Honestly, as far from the stadium as possible.

It might be advantageous to have your husband drop you off at Station Square or near the other stadium (ppg paints arena. Which is within the free fare zone and you don’t have to pay to ride)

From there you can hop on the light rail, the t, and go to the concert. Hop the train back to your original stop and get picked up by your husband there.

I am gay and still looking for a partner (lol) but I have attached a few links to various lgbt activities that occur in the city that are great ways to make friends and even future partners. I am unsure what your sexuality but I am sure some of these may be helpful

The queer community in Pgh is small and cliquey and everyone seems to know everyone which makes it feel like a tight knit community but also hard to fine a partner lol

I do know Qburgh post a lot of various events in the city so you’re right with checking them out!

And of course there are a handful of bars too if that’s your scene!

What's the law that says they can't filter at the light? Because the only one mentioned in this thread is about motorcycles filtering. Penndot actively encourages bikes as a way to get through city traffic.

They're just trying not to get killed by ignorant people like you, who feel that being behind a cyclist for two blocks is such an inconvenience you have to flame them online.

If you're going to say it's against the law as your sole argument why 5 min of your time is worth someone's life, at least post the law.
