Plastic recycling is nowhere near as effective as recycling other materials (especially paper and aluminum). If you are able, it’s better to avoid them altogether.

Usually I save up #4/LDPE bags and bring it to the grocery store drop off at Giant Eagle. That’s also what recyclethispgh says, which may have the answers to your other questions.

Where do you live? The city of Pittsburgh proper or some other municipality?

Plastic wrap/bags can be recycled at giant eagle in the bins outside. They don't go in regular recycling.

If your apartment is 6+ units recycling is through the waste hauler, not the city. If it's 1-5 apartments it's city recycling and trash. https://pittsburghpa.gov/dpw/residential-recycling

You can also go to a drop off center like the strip or other places to drop off metal, cardboard, paper, glass, and plastic.

I've wanted to learn how to use a scope for the long time, I'd happily put one of yours to use.

I got into diy audio projects a few years ago (1 small ss amp, 1 large pp valve amp, couple sets of speakers, and 1 fixed vintage cd player so far). I'm good at building things, but haven't really learned how to diagnose things yet.

The Urban Tap does a $5 chicken sandwich from 9-11pm on Thursdays. I think it's a pretty solid sandwich, and for the price it's hard to beat. They have other good late night specials other nights of the week, but I've only been on Thursday.

I had a row of dying Pines on what I thought were on my neighbors property. Turned out 1/2 of them were on my property. This was revealed when the house was sold and surveying was done. I wanted them removed so I paid for 1/2, new neighbor paid for the other half to be removed.
