I have no clue, but are you talking about Chrome across the street from the Beef Jerkey store?

Someone did but it was already sunk into the ground underneath by then.

The railroad is directly adjacent to the river. But yeah, the circumstances are odd. But I don't know the state her body was in, but it could be that her body was just hung up in the river in that area for some time.

By design, their speeds are asynchronous, and upload is at most a tenth the speed you're getting for downloads. I can promise you that if you're doing remote work, your co-workers know the difference.
The quality of the modem/router, when you're dealing with Comcast, is negligible. It's shit tier service for those who can't get anything better, and anyone with more than two brain cells to rub together would recommend FiOS over Comcast.

The problem with Xfinity is that they allow other Xfinity users to use your modem. During peak hours, in my apartment complex, it would slow down significantly. I was also experiencing outages at least once a month. No complaints after I switched to Fios.

I share your sentiment. Whenever I visit a chain restaurant that used to be fantastic, I'm always disappointed with the quality. I used to think that it was due to my age and not realizing how subpar the food was when I was younger. However, I now believe that the pandemic and the passage of time have undoubtedly diminished the quality of food in restaurants overall. Additionally, I don't think it was ever as excellent as I remember because, at the age of 12, I didn't have any point of comparison to compare it against a genuinely great restaurant.

To be faaaaaiiiiiir… a situation where a nuisance existed before you moved in significantly limits the legal options available to address the nuisance.
Determining whether the condition was preexisting or developed after OP moved in is kind of important.

If no one in your building has FiOS yet, and everyone's on Comcast, you likely have no fiber in your building, and everything is run via coax cabling (what you got HBO via in the 80s).
If you're seeing coax cable in your rooms, that's likely all you have, and it's suggesting that Comcast is what everyone else is using.

The issue is, I'm guessing, is that the boat doesn't impede boat traffic so if isn't their problem. If it floated into the middle of the river it would be their problem. But the boat has been untied for weeks and hasn't moved anywhere and somebody else on another thread said that most likely the propeller is stuck in the bottom and nothing will move it.

The quality of Comcast's service depends on location. If the wiring in the area is good and the headend is not over-subscribed, latency will be good and bandwidth will be acceptable. However, Fios uses fiber, which means that the connection quality to the headend will either be perfect or not working at all, unlike coax which is susceptible to electronic interference and degradation due to aging of copper infrastructure.
In my region near the airport, Verizon seems to be over-subscribing the headends. As a result, my download bandwidth has decreased over the years. Despite being on the one gig plan, I usually only get 300-500 megs down, but I get 1 gig up.
On the other hand, my neighbor has a business plan from Verizon and pays a bit more than I do on the residential package. However, they get a solid 1G.

Nah, Im sure it's still a relevant phrase, and your nephew is simply clueless, and likely embarrassed.

Sounds like it. I think it has to do with rules about the state not being able to take abandonded property unless it's truly abandoned. I think the state has to give the benefit of the doubt that the property is truly abandoned before profiting off of it. Even if the person has told the state repeatedly that they don't want the boat anymore. But that is just my guess

>If the remaining proceeds on the sale are not claimed within 60 days, Fish and Boat keeps the cash.
Does this mean that someone can just abandon a boat, have the state tow and auction it, and then just show up and claim the proceeds? I realize in this case there probably wouldn't be any proceeds, but that's still a hilarious concept

It's surprising that if a car is parked illegally for a few days, it will be towed and impounded, yet a boat parked in the wrong place for months can't be moved. You would expect the Army Corps of Engineers to take action to ensure safety.
