Reply to comment by mistergrime in UPMC billed me for a stranger's appointment - has this happened to anyone else? by [deleted]
I agree get a receipt. I work in a doctors office. Mistakes happen more often than not. We are all human after all. It is very difficult to get help some times and we are lucky to GOOD help! Before anyone blows up at the reception or billing dept, don’t always assume someone is trying to rob you.

wow, I knew T-Pain owned it, but I didn't realize he'd sailed it from Cincinnati- that's a commitment. Thanks for the extra information.

I suspect a lot of folks only know that chickens are legal, but don't know the legal distinction between hens and roosters.

>it, but my hot water tank started leaking within the period and it still cost over $400 to replace. The warranty company told us which local plumber we could use, so there was no shopping around, and only the tank was covered. They charged for the expansion tank, flue modifications, permitting, haul away, etc. I think you'd be better off putting that money somewhere where y
One of my friends had similar experience getting a water heater replaced via warranty. You had to use whatever plumber they use. The one they got had alot of 1-3 star reviews, and probably would have been out of business if it wasn't from the warranty company.
Like you said they were charged for everything and anything that was not the tank, items that you would expect to be included in the installation cost. They also charged inflated prices for those items, to the point that using the warranty was almost as expensive as hiring a plumber yourself.

There are always a couple of things that I'll still eat since they take a little longer to go stale.
Like pretzels, Mini Wheats will take a while, candy can go a while.

Fair question. He’s a known abusive asshole, which is now being called out publicly but really wasn’t before this happened. See Akay’s comment a little below mine, it’s 100% spot on. But basically by people playing in bands with him, booking those bands, and including him with the rest of the cool kids for various things, sent a message that how he was behaving was fine. I have no idea who he got the gun from, and I truly hope that it wasn’t given to him willingly. There are a lot of apologists in the scene for various bad behaviors and I don’t think they appreciate the consequences it can have.

This reminds me a lot of what Central PA calls BBQ. Except the use ground beef instead of ham. Nice sweet and tangy sauce that crystalizes orange when you put in the fridge

Roosters are not allowed to be kept in yards in the City for exactly this reason. Your neighbor wasn't following the law.

Go to I.S.A.L.Y’s in West View. You can have a great breakfast and then get your chipped chopped ham and Isley’s BBQ sauce to go.

My favorite thing about this phrase is when I see a YouTube video or tweet of an out of towner visiting the actual park for the first time, and showing that they bought a shirt from the park's gift shop that says the phrase on it without having a clue what it actually means

I currently work for the Science Center and I’ll be honest I do really love what I do but I can understand what the other poster said — I work in a slightly different department. The pay is low and they know they can get away with it because we all love inspiring people with science. Since the union’s come in we’ve got pretty significant pay increases (relatively speaking) and they’ve been fighting for things beyond pay like bereavement time for part-timers. I appreciate the union

I believe so. They have a wooden coop with a fenced in run attached. All within a fenced in yard. However, the coop was right up against the back of their yard which is adjacent to a large wooded area with lots of predators. I never actually saw the birds. Only heard them.
