It's total fucking bullshit that the scapegoat wheel of misfortune has landed on the trans community, the majority of shooters are cis white dudes with a hate agenda. Pitt's bringing in all these hateful guest speakers too which only amplifies the issue and hate speech on campus. I'm so sorry you had to deal with this. You deserve better.

Man.. my parents used to take us to the south side Tom’s diner with the buffet pretty close to 10-11pm sometimes after grade school basketball games. You’d definitely see some sights. It totally makes sense why that’s not around anymore with the way the Southside has shaped up. But the total demise of Tom’s/Folino’s/Penny’s is a shame. Such a Pittsburgh staple gone away

Those entities 100% deserve the same level of scrutiny.

The issue is price of admission. Sounds crazy right? Kennywood costs like $50 for a ride all day right. I don't have specific dates to cite but there was a point that the general admission price was limited to purchase until a certain time of day. After that you have to pay full price to come in after say 5 pm. This was around the time where the metal detectors and bag searches were employed if I recall correctly. Fast forward 12-15 years and introduce the $99.99 season pass. People just coming in to hang out and cause trouble is once again an issue.

I'm not a historian by any means but there is a good amount of adlib truth here. This type of price structure doesn't apply to a concert venue. The zoo isn't a place where 15-25 y/o's are going to just hang out. Plus the zoo closes pretty early.

Oh God, don't remind me. I was completely desensitized to those Pitt Alerts at all hours of the day across every building on campus after like the 10th one. Even when they were evacuating offices a lot of coworkers were like "Fuck this, it's cold outside, I'm staying inside." and took their chances.

Yeah, as an older guy I guess I took this stuff for granted but it really made life better for lots of reasons. We’re really in dark times when one of the most heavily traveled thoroughfares in the country can’t pay enough to keep staff. It’s crazy.

Problem is, that statement is true. Yes, the raw number of derailments is down. But that's not a very useful statistic. They're running more miles than ever as the economy continually grows. If you look at derailments per million train miles, which is a better metric to look at, Norfolk Southern and CSX (both the big operators in this region) have both had increases in derailments per million train miles over the past decade, especially within the last few years for NS. A very big spike in NS derailments per million train miles. Very worrying.

In fact, the national trend is trending upwards in derailments per million miles, though I don't care to look into every individual class I railroad's statistics for this comment.

Oh dude, no not almost like at all. You weren't born a law-abiding gun owner you choose to own a gun, you can put your gun away at any time and no one knows you're a gun owner, no one's oppressing you due to your gun ownership, you could lose gun ownership and still be the person that you are. No one's threatening to exterminate you for being a gun owner.

Please get some perspective.

the toro has self propelling too, but it's based on how much force you push into the handle with. so if you're going downhill and pulling back on it, it won't engage the diff. I have the aluminum deck one (the deck is black instead of the steel ones which are red) and the weight/corrosion resistance are nice features.

used to always stop at a big overpass rest stop in Angola, NY traveling between WNY and the burgh. So I’m in like my fourth trip back and forth this month and it’s like 2AM I’m exhausted and I decide to stop bc it’s been quite a few years and I was gonna grab a milkshake or something. Walk in… complete ghost town. No business at all it looked like

I don't know if things have changed since then or if you were looking in the wrong place, but there's no permit requirement, and afaik, for zoning it only needs a 5ft setback. But you do need a minimum 2000sqft lot space (including the footprint of the home)
