I appealed my reassessment (had to hire a damn lawyer) and the hearing was in early Aug. Haven’t heard shit yet. I don’t think it will be as high a jump as the school district wanted (their comps were an utter joke) but the jump is still huge since there hasn’t a mortgage on my house for probably 30-40 years. It sucks waiting so long. Everything I want to do with the house is on hold until I know how much my mortgage will go up 😡

I would get in touch with Neighborhood Legal Services. They can give you free recommendations. I've used them in the past to find a family law attorney at a reduced fee. But they definitely deal with tenant/landlord issues. Not as sure about the injury attorney, but they could probably help you find one of those also.

They're pretty cool and the soaps are great. I will say though, her beard balms kinda suck. My skin hates everything but not their soaps, which she started the company because of a childs intense allergies, and they are really great for sensitive skin!

Also, if you're into fun, they hold commercial casting calls on their Facebook. And if you do it you can be in a commercial or two for a lifetime discount. I did several when I lived in homestead because we were on the same block so when she posted them I'd wander over, get soap and make commercials with her.
