Waffle House is a half hour drive from Lawrenceville with no traffic (so that fits middle of the night criteria). Not bad at all

On the way to Toronto we always stopped at that rest stop, and it was always a little exciting because you only had about a half hour of driving left until you would cross the border from there.

Bought my house in 2020, then we had those terrible storms in '21. The downburst threw a tree at my house. The top 20-foot portion rolled over my roof like a tumbleweed and landed on the highest power line in front of the house.

Incredibly no damage to the house. I lost a window screen and a gutter got bent, that's it. My insurance covered the entire cost of removing 5 trees that the tree service said were at risk. All in all, I feel extremely lucky.

Both Pitt and Duquesne law schools have legal clinics that may possibly be able to assist. If not the recommendations for neighborhood legal services or the Allegheny county bar association are solid recommendations

The article also doesn't mention that police arrested the Kennywood shooter but zappala decided not to prosecute.

So he's not concerned about schools. Not concerned about gyms after the LA fitness shooting. Not concerned about malls after Monroeville mall issues. Not concerned about houses of worship after Tree Of Life.

It's politics and grandstanding. For the first time in his career he has a legitimate candidate running against him and he's singling out one business to try to make it seem like he's tough.

If anything, it's better now than it's been in the past. There's all that development on the eastern end of Carson and a lot of the get embarrassingly drunk crowd has moved to different neighborhoods.

I miss the old chaotic south side though, if anything, it's just not as full of life as it used to be. Entire area used to be one big party but honestly, I felt more at risk back then with so many drunks stumbling onto the road. Now it seems frighteningly calm almost any time I go down there.

Chengdu Gourmet is a staple in squirrel hill. I order "Diced Chicken with Dried Pepper Chongqing Style" every time I want to eat tiny pieces of crispy chicken in dozens of tiny peppers, I love it for some reason like a guilty pleasure.

I need to try more of their traditional menu.

It's been nationally recognized a few times as one of the best Sichuan restaurants in the US, and makes almost every Pittsburgh top 25 list that there is since it opened.

Their general tso's sauce is correct, but the meat they use for it is a bit weird sometimes for me.
