Are you guys going to scrap the rail that’s on the bridge or Preserve it? I’m a member of Youngstown Steel Heritage & the J&L narrow gauge railroad and our Founder Rick Rowlands is a contractor and Carrie Furnace so we’d be interested in the rail if it’s not going to be used.

I appreciate that, thank you.

Thing is, I get why they do it and I think I got past being mad about it. Tribalism feelings are powerful and hard to break out of. Besides, it's easier to get your real point across to more people when you don't get heated about it. I sure used to.

It's NOT all furries, not by a longshot. It's just that the fandom itself is attractive to...well...the people you saw in that twitter thread. That stuff goes both unchecked and passively ignored by normal furries, and the problems get worse.

I don't want anyone going thru what I did.

Well, I tend to follow the Housing First model, which is not an abstinence-only program. Both that and the linear model have real flaws - for example, someone who wants to move to abstinence only doesn't have the social support in a HF program to do so compared to a linear program.

I took your meaning from your previous statements like "you can't have someone in a shelter doing meth", "you don't get someone off drugs by handing them a house", "you can't [stop drug use with housing], you need to solve the mental health or addiction problem first". All of these would collide with the Housing First model, and so I came to believe that you did not want shelters services to be available to individuals who weren't drug-free. Is that accurate?

The issue of freight rail being safer than ever? ;-)

The railroad strike had nothing to do with the equipment failure that caused the EP derailment. Getting more sick days wouldn't have fixed that. I support most of their demands but that is a separate topic than derailment.

Factor in municipality for homes of comparable value, (i.e. homes between Kelly and S Braddock or Blackridge) and the difference is visible. IMO Swissvale governance puts money to use that Wilkinsburg doesn’t.
