I’ve admittedly never been to LeMont but have heard the same about it. I think it still has more of a reputation than Vue did as being a “white tablecloth” kind of place though.

Monterey Bey and Altius are both fantastic.

I have absolutely no idea what happened but what happened was it wasn’t making enough money and what will be replacing it is another restaurant most likely. If not I’ll go with another business

Ah yes, making unfounded guesses on the condition of Pittsburgh while you apparently live in Albuquerque. Just pure words of genius.

Seriously what makes you think anyone wants to hear uneducated crap from you?

EDIT: imagine posting the thing below this and then blocking me lol. Yes I’m sure you’re very well educated sir we are all very impressed. Your contribution to this sub continues to be of the upmost value lmaooooo. Fucking loser.

I had a TERRIBLE experience at Le Mont - I've never tasted food so bland. The vegetables were boiled with no seasoning at all.

Altius I enjoy (just tried it yesterday when I couldn't go to Vue). Haven't been to the other two yet. But Vue was my favorite. Healthy portion sizes, staff was nice and attentive, and their filet was great.

I seriously hope this is true. But I doubt it. It was unfinished for a while when the rest of the exterior had been painted. Then they finished it a lighter grey than the rest of the house. Then they painted over that with this pink. I originally thought they were going to put some stonework on the bump out and were waiting for materials… but that hasn’t happened.

I always tell myself that when I retire I'm getting a summer job working at the stadium. A job like this, a few hours a day here and there at a baseball field, seems more like a way to stay active, be around people, and watch some baseball than about making a living. On the one hand, yes, we can all find our own seats, and an 80-year-old is not going to do much to stop drunks or break up fights, so it's easy to ask what exactly they do. But on the other hand, it's about presenting a human touch at the ballpark, somebody to high-five the kids and be friendly to everyone else, in addition to the benefits of employing older people who might not otherwise be working. I think that's worth a few extra dollars an hour. No doubt they'll all be traded in July.

The funny part about this is that there are so many departments struggling to keep their heads above water as it is. I left BNYM last year, but when the requirement was two days a week my org was very lenient about it (ie take early meetings from home, come in around 10:00, and duck out around 3:00-3:30 to finish from home and beat traffic).

Really felt like desperate attempts by our management team to retain the staff they had since attrition was through the roof.
