There is a protected bike lane along carrie furnace blvd that takes you up to the rankin bridge.

There is also public money for designing the link eastward to the Westmorland Heritage Trail.

If the underpass is opened under the railraod, there is a gravel road that connects to Duck hollow and Bradock. Also, opening that underpass leads to a second underpass and a set of steps under the other set of tracks. This leads to an old parking lot for steelworkers. From there you can take amazing singletrack trail all the way back to frick park without ever crossing a road. Or you can go up a steep paved driveway on the border of swissvale and rankin. The very top crosses private land briefly but i'm guessing there's an easement that would allow it to be opened back up.

The gravel road and singletrack is already extremely popular with cyclists. Connecting this to the GAP will open up so many more opportunities for people in the area.

Same type of person who would be like "my diet pepsi was empty for 5 seconds before you came by to refill my cup, and that's why you deserve zero tip."

So your first batch of bread was an hour old, and they had a fresh batch for your next round. So the manager is making their rounds making sure their patrons are happy. Maybe a server happened to overhear them complaining and alerted the manager, or this person was scowling and they can read body language from afar. I can 100% guarantee that this person has literally never worked a service job ever in their life. Probably born in the south hills and moved to Fayette county for "the space and lack of neighbors" and "the taxes are cheaper" and then they complain about gas prices while commuting an hour to monroeville or greensburg for their job in a Rav4 or Highlander.

There is an RIDC development in Rankin. RAAC owns the bridge and much of the other land. Rivers of steels owns Carrie Furnace in swissvale (or at least they did).

Normally, property lines and ownership can be seen on the county GIS website:
https://openac-alcogis.opendata.arcgis.com/apps/b4b1dbb65b4943538425bb5ae0f8f62b/explore

But for some reason, many of the nearby parcels are missing data right now. Perhaps they changed hands recently.

Or simply: I'm not going to move, you can waste $50 on prime seats and I'm going to sit here because you need an usher and without them you need to go to a security area and by the time you do that, I can just as easily stand up and say 'oh, I guess I'm in the wrong seat, I've never seen this guy in my life' and security may ask me to leave, may not, but I'll be several innings in if you need to manage that and then we're back to security is just an usher.

It all falls apart pretty quick.

Execs are probably banking on them hoping for any experience they can right out of school. But the grads will quickly learn to hate it when they have to report to the office just to sit on conference calls most of the day with their teammates in NY, NJ, and/or India. I used to work there a few years ago and still know some people there and supposedly their management can track badge swipes to see if you really report into the office if your manager isn't located in the local office. When I worked there, my manager was in NJ and only three of us on the team were located in Pittsburgh so we didn't show up in the office too much. I was in IT so different departments likely have different rules.

Depends what you’re going there for. I did my freshman year there as a biology major and it was an absolute joke (not in a good way). Ended up transferring. if you’re going for business or engineering then absolutely great school.

Don’t get involved in the party/Greek life scene. There’s a lot that happened there when I went (2016) that got swept under the rug.

If an owner died and it was successful the family would keep it going. If they were bought out it’d be a new restaurant and there would be signs, if the lease ended and they didn’t renew obviously they didn’t make enough money lol, if the health dept closed them wtf would you go back there then haha. Just cause I got downvoted doesn’t mean you’re not a dunce for posting this

Ah, I had heard about the VPs and up being required 3 days a week. I thought they were saying that had already been happening and they were going to make a new announcement on Monday (aka all other employees)
