Honestly I’d just do Uber. You can set your own hours and can actually do pretty decent if you worked Friday and Saturday evening. But I have done it during the day as I’m not a huge fan of a the weekend crowed. I’ve also do door dash more often, which is nice if you don’t want people in your car.

I'm asexual but didn't have the vocabulary to understand that at the time, granted most of us didn't back then. They tried to "fix" me even though I didn't want it, along with other deep psychological abuse.

They're not in my life and I've worked through the trauma, though they've attempted to apologize and reconnect several times over the years. I just block them and move on.

They know what they did was wrong and can live with their shame and my lack of forgiveness. It must eat away at them but I could not care any less.

Thanks for the mention, I hope you can find healing as well.

It does not just apply to VPs and above. While those guys do have to go in 3 days a week, so do a lot of us because it's based on your department's leadership. And it's definitely work from the office or possibly one of the AHN hospitals if you have to work on something there. Not "Work-from-someplace-other-than-home." We were told explicitly that we need to be in the office more than half of the week.

True but that was before the fair labor standard Act. So you could just pay people a quarter an hour and no overtime or benefits or really anything. Plus that was financed from private companies. Which makes it a lot easier when you have the power of a blank check and tell construction companies to build the tallest building in NYC as fast as you can.

It’s literally the job of a server to pay attention to their stations/ customers. If you think a mofo hasn’t seen stale bread face before. The lofnl.

But yeah, it’s the bulbs for sure… the dim ones.

I heard the actual policy still says the requirement is two days a week and the email that was distributed said “expected to be in the office three days”. Maybe the actual policy will change though.

The first step, in my opinion, is to avoid confusion and stop calling it this. This will help make the idea more accessible to the public, if that makes sense. My first thought was why the hell the county is messing with a bridge/pedestrian walkway that was fixed up not that long ago.
