Pittsburgh itself has a population of a little over 300,000. The greater metropolitan area includes 6 other counties, some of which don't even border Allegheny.

working in a restaurant downtown during anthrocon i can say that the attendees were by far my favorites of any conventions. they were always nice, smiling, tipped well, and generally had a great happy vibe. they are doing what they love with people who share common interests. I'm going to be attending this year. furries rule!

I think each zip code is funded by different sponsors. We signed up recently as well and the sponsors for our area look like just regular folks, not an organization. But If I put in a city zip code it tells me the sponsor is in Peduto’s office. So I think we’re “safe”.

Too late. Out of towners figured us out years ago. It's been so long those out of towners now consider themselves Pgh'ers.

Yeppp, shit reminds you of a music festival with how many people are in there. Literally with the travel lines to get around like they have at festivals. They have to be over the number of occupants capacity.

The faculty I knew at MSU had some beautiful houses. A lot of them lived in Okemos or near Lake Lansing which I think was a little more expensive, but still probably super reasonably priced.

It also allows warrantless, near-real time tracking of street visible vehicles in the city by the police, but it has been a while since I read about it and I forget if Pittsburgh utilizes this.

And learned nothing from experience. They had the “hot desking” on the renovated floors at Grant Street and from what I understand from a few people it was very much hated.

From what I understand the hot desking concept was particularly annoying.
