Despite what reddit will have you believe a lot of chiropractors actually do go to medical school and are also licensed physical therapists. Manzolillo Chiropractic on Broadway is one such legitimate place that I would recommend.

Maybe in Rhode Island, but that is a false claim. There are a lot of hospitals that have chiropractors. The problem is the caseloads are usually not high and it does not make the hospitals enough money. Most Hospitals are in a business in making money. Anyone that works in one can tell you that. Also if they were witch doctors it would not be a covered expense in many insurances. Clearly we won’t have similar views and that’s okay.

Ah yes sorry for stating the facts that PTs work more with mobility and chiropractors works more with neck and back pain. Sorry you guys have not had the pleasure of working with a good chiropractor. Of course there are some out there who are not good. The same can be said for some PTs and OTs. Can a PT help OP with this? But that is not their focus.

And let’s say for shits and giggles that OP does require more intensive therapies like rehab…Just the fact that PT is being recommended when back and neck problems would most likely fall into an OT referral says everything.

OP do all your research and see what is going to benefit you the best ☺️

That's a charitable read. As this sub's Designated Smiley Voter, I'm shaking my head at the DPW choice and very disappointed in it. I cannot for the life of me understand it for any reason other than a political one, whether it's a friend of his from the Raimondo days or a placeholder for someone else. And so if it is political, then that's an ominous beginning.

DPW is the department which arguably has the most influence on Smiley's primary campaign promise: the best run city in America. And so he appoints a lawyer who ran the prison system. I mean what? Even his press release didn't try to sell her to the residents as anyone other than someone who oversaw a large organization, suggesting that this department head will be completely divorced from what's going on at ground level and will exist to crunch numbers.

I believe you need department heads with subject matter expertise. I don't even think this should be a controversial statement, yet here we are with a person with zero SME managing one of the city's most public facing and important departments. Yes, you don't want someone without management experience or talent in the role, but that person should absolutely have been involved in the department's business. Not respecting SME is how you wind up with clueless managers who make unreasonable or even impossible demands as well as major blunders.

I commute to Boston a few times a week.

Driving is hellacious. Don’t do it. The traffic is awful.

Several folks have mentioned driving to Attleboro station for cheaper parking if you can. However, if you park at the Avalon right across from the PVD station parking is only $13 (before 8 I think) vs the $18 the station lot charges. These days I just take the bus from my house to the station though unless the weather is too bad for me to walk to the bus stop.

Rhode Island Hot Yoga - Every class is a beginners class. The 26&2 series is the same every time. Just make sure you don't accidentally sign up for the intermediate class first! That combined with some Yin classes they offer make for a nice yoga routine
