Same, ive used it a ton and never really had a problem. They have always been very nice on the phone. Call at least 24 hours before your pickip day,if you are a Monday pickup you need to call before noon on the Friday before.
If someone grabs it when you put it out and you have a chance don't forget to cancel, they'll have more time to actually pick stuff up instead of driving by your house for no reason.

Wow, cool tool they put together, incorporating the best guess for private lines. (Is accurate for the 6 houses I know, all lead)

Thank you! More of a watcher and appreciator than involved in the creative side but sounds like there could be some nice people to meet. New to the area so trying to find some like minded people and places

Posted this as a comment to another reply but here’s a quick list of soul/funk stuff: There are spots that do funk/soul/disco all over.
Red Door: Disco Sour once a month on Saturdays. They also have Nick Bishop DJ sometimes and he’s got a sound that gets real retro. https://www.instagram.com/p/Cm9S22LrBWM/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
Discotech at The Parlour: a mix of soul/funk/house. https://instagram.com/discotech_pvd?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
Askew: Live Funk on Thursday (The Autocrats) and a Disco night every Wednesday https://www.instagram.com/p/Cm4HYsHLJNo/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
Dusk: Soul Power every second Saturday https://www.instagram.com/p/ClY8P_3LED7/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
You’re very best bet will be to follow @pvdgcal for other events happening too. There are lots and lots of different dance nights in the city almost nightly.

Narragansett is huge and gets busy so it might be the best place for tips, revival has more niche events which might be the best for "other" culture stuff besides beer, long live has the most well rated beers so if you want to get into understanding craft beer trends, moniker is best during the summer because it's a big patio and you get some time outside

Afrobeats and Amapiano at Mezzo Lounge on Charles Street. Check out their IG for more info. Disco, brass, soul? You would have to take a time machine to 1987.

There's a facebook group called RIFC Rhode Island Film Collaborative that meets periodically at a bar. It is an open format kind of scenario for amateur and professional filmmakers to network and discuss projects. You might want to check out one of their meetings.

In general, the tap water should be fine. If you're noticing a change in taste and cloudiness, that may be a short term problem. I don't have a lead service line, and I will often use the tap water for cooking or drinking. I find the Chlorine a bit heavy handed, so use a Brita Stream filter to remove the excess Chlorine.

The service line is the pipe that extends from the water main to the building. Some of that distance is under the street / sidewalk and is owned by the city, and some of it is under the owner’s property and is owned by them.
When I had my service line replaced, Providence Water calculated the length of the pipe that fell on either side of the property line. They paid the contractor the full amount to do the replacement, and then set up a loan for the amount I owe them for the part that’s on my property. Ergo, we shared the cost of the replacement.

Hi OP, did you check the area for any other kittens? Sometimes going out with a can of cat food can bring them out. Thank you for helping him!

The street part is called the water main, and that is 100% the responsibility of the city. The part on your property is called the "service line" and that is 100% the home owner's responsibility. So, there actually is no cost sharing. A zero interest loan is a decent offer, but you're still paying to have the service line replaced.

I drink the tap water filtered with a Brita long lasting filter (which filters lead) in Cranston which is part of Providence water. I would drink it without a filter too, but my spouse likes the filter...just change it regularly per the instructions so it stays fresh.

Revival Brewing/Lost Valley Pizza is one of my favorite spots and they're looking for servers and/or bartenders and/or chefs (or were the last I heard, at least). They have lots of music events, comedy nights, poetry readings, and other cool events - so not quite a music venue but along the lines of what you're describing. Everyone who works there is great, too!

You came ALL the way through. I knew there had to be something! I used to go to the Autocrats thing at the Parlour and got confused when I couldn’t find it but I guess they moved. Excited to try to go to a couple of these 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
Wow the red door looks super sick also
