>I know there is subjectivity to the statement, but lateroundpick is correct about the impact of the tower on overall supply… 500 units is sort of a drop in the bucket when you consider the scale of supply shortage.

True, but the bucket never starts to fill unless you start putting drops of water. This, Superman, that other Water St area development, etc. We need a metric fuckton of stuff like that to make a difference. Dismissing the solution because it doesn't solve the problem is asinine and counter-productive.

You know what? I have. I've enjoyed a fuckton of privilege that this kid didn't. But there's a fucking ocean of difference between product of your environment and starting a shootout on a Friday afternoon.
Also, who the fuck is mistaking these guys for anything other than cops? If anyone saw these two guys in hospital scrubs and they'd look like a couple of cops who dressed up as Doctors for Halloween.

I walk to work every day. Sure, there are more cars than people. But I’m not the only one waking out there. Lots of people walk.

It does matter, but I see here there is a lack of nuance. Also those guys probably look like any other person without a uniform. Not sure what you were implying by that.

For running away or not complying with some instruction? Sure, plain clothes makes a difference. It makes a huge difference.
For whipping out a gun in the laundromat and starting a shootout in broad daylight? No, it fucking does not matter.
Also, take a look at what two of the cops look like. You could see those dudes dressed up in literally any outfit imaginable and you'd be like "Those guys are cops, right?"

It’s smack dab in the middle of downtown. That should be the interesting enough- the street life, the commerce, the architecture. The architecture, at least is mostly still there…
The reason to cut through would be to buy and/or eat something from one of the small businesses that used to populate the Arcade.

Also - affordable housing is a false statement designed to fool poor people into thinking they have a chance to afford a nice place in a nice neighborhood. 'Affordable' is still very expensive - in most cities.

They will! I don’t use the bus very often and each time hold my phone too close at first. They always tell me to try lower and I think oh right I should know that 😂

If you can’t see how plain clothes makes a difference in a response then you’re being intentionally obtuse. There are several court cases that have had altered judgements or rulings simply because the officer was in plain clothes. (Assuming this is true)

If you think I am wrong, kindly go to google maps satellite view and show me pedestrians walking on the sidewalk.

I know there is subjectivity to the statement, but lateroundpick is correct about the impact of the tower on overall supply… 500 units is sort of a drop in the bucket when you consider the scale of supply shortage.
Jakejanobs is also correct that any increase to supply is a useful contribution towards solving the accessibility crisis.

All I do every day of my life is not attempt to murder people. Thousands of days, never failed once. I can't really foresee any scenario where I'm breaking that streak.

I love discussing these issues with people who care so little about them they can't spend even 10 minutes trying to educate themselves on the issue. It's like when you get to meet a six-year old child.

Providence police: Teen feuding with East Side gang member caught with shotgun
Excerpt from article:
A reputed Chad Brown gang member was arrested with a shotgun Saturday amid a feud with a rival gang member that police warn could have escalated into bloodshed.
Tyrone Robinson, 19, was charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana and possession of a firearm while in possession of marijuana, according to Cmdr. Thomas Verdi.
Police say he has been involved in a feud with an East Side gang member, “which has resulted in numerous calls of shots fired,” a report provided by Verdi said.

The article links to another article which suggests the cop was in uniform.
"It's disheartening anytime anyone shoots at a uniform police officer in this country, and Providence has faced that," said Providence Public Safety Commissioner Steven Pare. "We're thankful today that he was well trained, well prepared, he had his vest on, and what he did probably saved his life."

Tasty though tougher than expected but I’m gonna blame that on the like 40 minute cooldown mid-bake and not on any personal failings as a cook haha. We’ll get em next time!

I'm implying the original assertion / implication that they might be a rival gang targeting him is absurd.
