Ironically enough, every time an adult has used that to another adult, they’re not really being nice either.

No, his friends who were searching for him thought he was on the bike path. That was posted here and on FB in their efforts to search for him. GoLocal scrapes social media for "news".

This was my first thought when it was first posted he was missing last thought to be in this area. Even during the day people drive on the wrong side with all the traffic changes around the bridge. The sinage on the ramps is pretty clear but maybe a car went to close to him and caused him to go into a closed ramp. Very sad.

I’m guessing they got half a story from a cop and tried to mad lib it? Like, cyclist killed but he wasn’t on a road must mean the bike path

I think you should be fine. My boyfriend works 1-12 at a restaurant in Boston (we live in providence) he leaves around 11/11:30 and leaves work around 12/12:30 at night. The only traffic he ever hits is the occasional construction traffic around midnight/ 1 am. He never really has any issues.

Hopefully there will be more signage for safety if need be. Terribly awful and sad news. My heart goes out to his family and friends.

I think the crowd that usually shopped there for convenience and to support local food sources no longer have the flexible income to do so with current market prices.

I also think rising food costs are hitting them heavy - they have a lot of bougie brands so it’s not like a Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods where I can still get affordable, generic pantry staples and stuff.

The ProJo is now reporting it, so if we didn't already know GoLocal makes things up, we do now. In their rush to be the first to "report news" they got several things wrong (when he was found, who found him, the spelling of his name ...) Brown was trying to respect the family, and legit news sources were waiting for actual information to report. Neither seems to be a requirement for GoLocal.

This is very sad. I feel terrible for his family and friends, and the people who tried very hard to get the word out and find him. Poor kid.

Ever understood the concept of inquiry? The question remains. What if the answer could help prevent future tragedies? We just don't know yet.
But the whole "thou shall not" approach is anathema to knowledge.
