I’m sorry but if she’s specifically wanting Mexican families then she will be in for a culture shock. Don’t get me wrong there are Mexicans here but it’s not like how it is in California or other border states. The majority of Hispanic people here are Dominican and Puerto Rican, also Guatemalans.

All that being said South providence or around chalkstone Ave might be staring points for you. But either way be in for some major culture shock either way. We are on opposite sides of the country. I don’t say this in any mean way of course but you need to manage your expectations.

For reference I’m Hispanic (Dominican and Costa Rican) and those are some spots I lived in. Chalkstone (or parts of it) I think might be nice than the south side.

Good for you. And whether you have LEGAL tags or not, I'm sure YOU don't want strangers going into your yard (including while you are home) without your prior knowledge, without knocking, on your door and IDENTIFYING themsselves. That's how people end up getting accidentally shot BRUH.

There's a local houseplant exchange group on The Face Book. I joined it, but haven't participated yet. They allow for selling, as well as giving away for free.

Also, look into a local Buy Nothing group. I have participated in mine, both giving away and receiving. It's a a very positive worldwide movement!

I joined my group on Facebook. Look yours up here:

Briggs is great and honestly Peckham's is an experience with so many nooks and crannies! The few plants I have gotten from JJ's have either been terribly cared for or full of pests so I just avoid them now due to how overpriced their things are!

There's definitely some intersectional circlejerking going on, but I've personally witnessed her lean into berating one of her employees, fully in front of all the customers on a busy day at Rebelle. I haven't been back since.

She appears to have legitimate emotional regulation issues, which she compensates for by framing herself as a perpetual underdog pitted against "the haters."

Given the apparent regularity of distasteful real life, social media, and review-responding incidents, the resulting widespread dislike for her isn't all that surprising to me. Reddit loves outrage and righteous indignation.
