I kill all houseplants but I have a ton of different kinds of succulents growing outdoors if you need any. They do fine indoors with lots of sun.

The Starbucks at the corner of Chestnut & Friendship housed in the old Swedish Workingmens Association building I always thought was nice.

Sounds like your defense is it’s okay to be toxic if you’re good at your job. Baby, no. You’re missing the point.

Not a restaurant, but every Fall there are Armenian food Festivals - definitely worth a visit with an empty belly. There's also one in Cranston as well.

I don't want to give to much away because privacy, but I notice that "easy fixes" like the ones you mention are fixed quickly. However, anything more than fixing a quick drain are usually ignored.

I can definitely make some more cuttings of the monstera! I’m trying to keep mine as a nice central stalk but it REALLY wants to grow extra branches so I have to trim it a lot.

The Armenian Heritage Park and neighboring Taco Bell are a huge improvement over how that intersection used to look. In the 90's, that site was occupied by an abandoned gas station surrounded by a chain link fence.

what kinds of issues? I've mostly only reported potholes and clogged storm drains but they're alarmingly quick on that shit

PVD has been good to my family and I. I’ve been here almost my entire life so it’s hard for me to compare it to anywhere else. My nationality doesn’t really play a role in my overall experience as ppl here are very accepting of everyone. I think mostly because PVD is made up of so many different ethnicities and backgrounds. I have no plans of leaving at the moment. The COL has been going up recently but I think that’s everywhere. I hope that helps! 😄

I disagree. I raised both my kids in Providence. We are also a multi-cultural family and living in an urban setting was part of their education. They went to Classical High school (the highest performing high school in the State of RI - not just the city) which is about 1/3 Latino.

There's a dentists office going in right next to Antonio's - but there's a Jewish deli and a brick and mortar store of Feast & Fettle moving in in the part where the Rite Aid and the pet supplu store used to be.

Wow the armchair psychiatric diagnosis of someone you’ve barely brushed shoulders with is bananas. The haters are real, judging by this thread and your comment. I guess in that sense she is the underdog.

RI has been NIMBY-world for decades for new housing. Unfortunately, that means that the few options available know that people will crawl to them and jump through hoops — great customer service is thus not a priority.
Hope you find a good one soon!
