Is the Grange coming back or was it sold? The building in the past few weeks got a fresh cost of paint.

We use them for condo bookkeeping, and they're also very responsive in that regard.

Don't take it negatively. I love Providence. I'm just saying when you are walking through those parks you could almost forget you are still technically within a dense city. It is a fantastic feature it our great little city.

But why feel like you aren’t in the city when you can bask in the idea that it is ALSO part of the city and celebrate Providence in that fashion instead of thinking you’re somewhere else? They don’t have to be mutual exclusive.

Introverts! Do not tell Reddit and the transplants of Providence where you go to for feeling like the city isn’t overrun with transplants.

I have actually heard that and have gotten the sense from some of their posts in the past that the head chef was arrogant. I'm glad you got out of there. Looks like shit really hit the fan in the pandemic. Shitty guy, great chef.

Honestly my two favorite spots are Neutaconkanut Park and Blackstone Park. Great little parks to pretend you aren't in the city and yet they are right here in Providence even accessible via Ripta.

I never went there myself but damm even self service they are expecting a tip. One commenter said its the POS machine and the owners have no say on how its programmed or what not but the owners have a say on what payment systems they use as well.

Last time I went to seven stars I grabbed a chocolate milk from the self-serve cooler and the person at the register gave me the stink eye when I selected no tip. And I believe the 20% option was pre-selected. wtf am i tipping for? you literally did nothing besides stand there and take my money.

John was an old chef at the garden grille and eventually became the chef at the Grange and they shuffled him back to the garden grille during Covid because garden grille had a rotating door of staff after their remodel due to bad management, hell they tried to screw over a chef at the garden grille related to his unemployment application after they let him go over bullshit circumstances. I like the owners of the restaurants but they are bizarre in the sense of not being the most egalitarian people, hell Rob once protested with others at the capital when they raised the hourly wage of servers. John, the chef at the Grange, is an absolute twat despite the granges food being pretty good. If you thought working at the garden grille sucked it was even worst at the grange. I worked at both for several years and thank god I got out before Covid.

You’re really good at moving goalposts, that’s not a quality skill lol.
No bitterness here - I think good food should be judged separately from narcissist owners. But I won’t support toxic people or their businesses. Just an FYI for you - these traits rarely get better over time, they just get worse as the stakes get higher. The owner should be seeking professional help to avoid the eventual fall.

I’ll literally use it as a library 😂 sit there for hours, read books, and then put them back on the shelves lol. Plus the cafe is delicious
