Don’t try and straw man me. I’m an anonymous stranger on the internet. You know nothing about me. Don’t project your gentrifier’s guilt on other people. Look inside and face what you are.
You are clearly not “as liberal as they come”. Just another NIMBY that wants the problem pushed to a place where they don’t have to see it everyday.

It’s in poor taste but my industry friends said they’re dropping the ‘G’ to keep the sign and it’s going to just be ‘RANGE’ Chophouse. Steaks… ribs etc. And if you think I’m kidding look it up 🤨

That's easy to type for woke cred from other people that don't do anything except flap their jaws. What are you doing to help these people besides pretending you don't mind litter, screaming at 3am and dirty needles on your sidewalk.
You can be empathetic to the problem/people and also acknowledge the effects/repercussions of the influx... those two things are not mutually exclusive

You sound like an idiot. Literally nothing in this thread is remotely “secret” or new to me.

Funny you should mention it, I was at its opening ceremony and just bought a pass, fifteen years later!

Speaking on years of living here it sure look ok then, I think it adds character to the area.

As if. None of the places mentioned so far were new to me or hard to find for anyone with rudimentary Google skills.

Hi everyone from out of town visiting.. are any of these places close to Portsmouth? I’m interested in meeting people, any social places like the ones mentioned a good place for meeting single women if possible. I may be moving for work. But just wanted to get a consensus. Thank you for any input.

"Litter that area has always been like that."
That makes it ok?
It's worse right now btw but unless you live right next to the armory like I do, you probably havent noticed..

I couldn't care less about either of those things. I do like the Dexter Farmers Market though. I also like parks that aren't full of trash. Do you not?

"Like it used to be" doesnt mean it wasnt terrible then too.
Oh the neighborhood is clean and safe! How awful!
I knew it was a risk posting this because I'm as liberal as they come but to deny the reality of situation isn't being woke...it's being accepting of a broken system and then pointing the finger at me for calling it out as if I'm the problem.
NIMBY? How about not in anyone's backyard?
You probably live in a gentrified section of Providence and guess what? When you were house/apartment hunting, lets be real, you weren't looking west of cranston st. Why is that? Do tell.

Lmao it definitely has to be her, esp reading all that users post history. This is exactly what influencers do on their Reddit snark pages too - it’s always so obvious 🙈

In the US it’s impossible to do it like that because the culture and structure of this society is “fuck you, I got mine” so nobody wants a $11 sandwich when there’s another one for $9.25 and who cares how the $9.25 one gets made and how much the workers earn. I feel like someone made that point to me earlier on this thread so I’m just kinda regurgitating. Also most of the entire world operates under worse conditions for service workers. Unless you’re specifically thinking of Europe, where things are different because society believes in strengthening the safety net (not so much recently)… anyway hope that makes sense to you!

As someone who offers a product or service, what I wrote is reality. Don't delude yourself into thinking otherwise.
