There's a noise coming from Providence College some nights that sounds like something out of War of The Worlds. It seems like there is a ludicrous amount of cars in this small city, all aggressively gunning it from stop sign to speed bump.

This is the logical (and inevitable) conclusion of car-centric planning. I know it’ll never happen and it’s not feasible financially anyway, but burying 95 like they did with 93 in Boston would so drastically improve the quality of life throughout our city.

The solution to the trash is any easy one. Assign a team of people who are staying at the armory to go out and clean up the park and surrounding neighborhood each day, there are plenty of able bodied individuals staying there who have plenty of time to pitch in and help keep the neighborhood clean.

So we're starting a multibillion dollar project banking on people who want to go to Battleship Cove every day. We have to get Battleship Cove to charge $25 for parking while they currently charge nothing while keeping the price of train tickets for a family below the cost to park. Or we'll count on all the people who go to Battleship Cove by themselves. Disregarding the fact that it is Fall River and you can find cheap or free parking everywhere.

No, they explicitly state they have apartments. Not sure why I got downvoted like that when I have a substantial amount of first hand experience with the situation and the population in general, but that’s Reddit for you, speculation confirming the bias of the average user of a given sub will always receive more positive reaction than first hand knowledge which doesn’t jive with a preconceived idea

If they ever decided to to make Battleship Cove parking cost $25 instead of $0 and you were the type of person that goes there every single day they're open, this would save you approximately $4500 per year (minus whatever the cost of 180 or so roundtrip train tickets are).
