It looks like the plan is to connect the Washington Secondary trail to Olneyville, at which point you can use the on-road path down Broadway into downtown. I believe there should also be an-off road option for that via the Woonasquatucket River Greenway soonish. So, I guess it depends on where in Cranston you're coming from?

I’ve had it for years. Every 6 month they re-evaluate your use. So you see your actual amount each month (that you actually use) and then there is the agreed amount. The way I think it works is they take the total of the 6 months and average it. Then do that the next six months. During the winter my bill is more because im paying the summer estimate. In about may? My bill gets much cheaper through December because it’s based on winter usage (no ac) you can cancel it anytime but you have to pay that “ actual” balance you used. Right now with everything being so expensive it’s nice to know exactly what you’ll be paying.

There’s very little profit on liquor, that’s one reason why grocery stores don’t want it. Grocery stores tend to be chains and have way more buying power than independent retailers. They’ll squeeze the little guys where the profit is: wine. Anyway eventually that plaza will be a corporate copycat of all the cool shops that already exist on and around wickenden, and then when those little shops are gone everyone will pretend to be sad when telling tales of where “so & so used to be.”

Yes the whole point is Not because it’s actually cheaper but that you can (tada) budget the amount instead of sticker shock when the temp drops or AC goes in. And they aren’t currently charging for credit card use so use that method of payment and get your credit card rewards du jour if that’s something you want (cash back).

Well it’s the anti-2023 mindset of convenience. It’s like insisting on not having tap and pay because we were functioning fine with paying cash.

Most wine/beer are large/national brands with significant backing and distributed whether you go to a liquor store or a grocery store. I’ve seen Whole Foods and even major chain grocery stores have local beers because that’s what is popular.

It’s not like all of the PVD liquor stores are selling wines that were shipped directly to to them by the middle class family who owns a little grape farm in Tuscany.

i think there was a ballot measure in colorado this year about it? idk.

to me, the expanded access benefits national and international chains more than the consumer and it hurts smaller businesses that are more likely to be independent. there is no universe where "i need to procure alcohol and get groceries" was some impossible task because a second store was involved.

They were obtuse and insisted on the bike path going directly through the Hope Village area. They should have just had the bike path go up Hope then once to Hope Village divert over one block into Lorimer which goes straight to Blackstone parallel to Hope Village.

This keeps the street parking in Hope Village (which is needed, particularly October-March when biking dramatically decreases) and still provides a bike lane along a long stretch.

My guess is the study would show rather low usage.
