I used to regularly walk from Douglas ave, to downtown at night. Never had a problem. saw some sketchy people and whatnot, but was never in fear for my life. I lived on Goddard St. I wouldn't suggest a woman walk alone at night around there, but a couple walking during the day? Where exactly do you live, if you dont mind me asking...

Waaait…..you said it’s cheaper here than in NH? That can’t be right. The housing rates are almost as high as Boston, honey. I love it here for many reasons but affordability isn’t one of them. Don’t move here thinking it’s cheaper than NH.

Providence is a really great city. Like any area there are neighborhoods to avoid, etc. anything providence doesn't have you can find in Boston, which is not that far at all. I personally ducking love the area. Crazy good food scene, too. Like, unexpectedly so.

Don't forget we got more taxes here.

I hate to break it to you, but Providence is one of the most expensive places to live in New England, highly doubtful it's cheaper than where you are.

But yeah, you will meet people here. 24 is a good age to be in Prov.
