Yeah I don't know what aspects of New York style he has adopted when he says "New Haven meets NYC"

This wasn’t in Fox point, and was a vehicle that was doing slow laps around a couple of blocks

We went on Thursday evening and it seemed like there was an issue with the microphones, especially Orpheus' mic. Really frustrating given the cost of the tickets!

Yeah and this wasn’t a car alarm or a car horn- some kind of industrial sounding siren attached to a vehicle (not a fire or police siren). It was way too loud for a normal car sound.

Saw Jagged Little Pill a few months ago. PPAC needs to do a serious audio overhaul. It went from too loud, to incomprehensible at seemingly random times. Something is wrong and they don’t seem to know it.

Seen it more than I can recount. Best one was two people fucking on the central dock in India Point park, rolling around in the contents of a tipped over trash can. Fucking. In. Trash.

So it’s not “classic cheese pizza” but Flatbread is very good for what it is. Antonio’s is yummy but I’m more in it for the toppings there. Twins is good but not my preferred style. Providence Coal Fire. My husband likes Pizza J. Al forno for fancy nights.

I went a few nights ago. It's one of my favorites, I've seen it several times in different theaters, and I agree that it was hard to understand the words this time at PPAC. Seemed to be a combination of their tech and some vocal choices. Hope you were able to still enjoy it!

Looks like they only have one open in the Natick Mall.

There’s an alarm that has gone off near the elementary school in Fox Point twice this week around 530am. I think it’s the building they’re doing construction on, but it goes off for 10-20 minutes straight.

Of course as part of the original deal: the developer got to keep 2/3rds of the sales tax collected for at least 15 years, not sure if that was allowed to sunset or not.

Anyone remember that guy who would drive around Providence in the mid to late 90s, basically talk shit, film it, and it somehow wound up on local TV?
I remember him driving by the mall as it was being constructed or just after it was complete, saying “it would be a homeless shelter one day”.
I don’t completely doubt it; maybe he was really onto something.

Pizza Coin is fairly new and was exciting for the neighborhood because we didn’t have anything similar (Big Tony’s is largely reviled for mostly non-food reasons). Their pizza is not my style but I can see why others gave it good reviews.

You find any other gems? So far I’m pretty sad that my findings are precisely what the yelpgeist is.

Greek style pizza is the supreme overlord of pizza styles.

I’m from Jersey/NYC area and I have yet to find a slice that does not disappoint when compared to home (recommendations please!!) The only place that I find to be consistently good “pizza” is Flatbread Co. off Thayer Street. Gonna have to try nice slice.

Last time I took the free Silver Line to South Station then took an Uber from there. It’s few miles closer to Providence, plus you avoid paying the Uber airport pickup fees and tunnel tolls.

So obnoxious - they seemed to be doing laps that ended in the CVS parking lot. I was just about to call the cops when it ended for good

Better than $25/day. I find scheduling Uber or Lyft is about $80. Coming back has been painful the last couple times as you can’t necessarily schedule. Last time was a $150 Uber!
