If price is no object, the best place is a Cafe Nuovo.

I love CAV! The added bonus about the antiques is that they're also for sale, so if you see something that you feel you absolutely have to have, you can buy it right then!

During a 5am run a few summers ago, I was running through India Point Park and it was nearly pitch dark in some areas. Pretty sure I surprised someone who was giving a bj to someone sitting on a park bench.

CAV in the jewelry district. It stands for coffee antiques and victuals. Not only is the food cooked by a world-class chef but the environment will blow your mind. If you go on the right night a jazz band will play while you eat. The atmosphere is extremely eclectic with antiques from all over the world present at your table. The brunch is amazing and the dinner options are out of this world. Don't get me wrong, it is expensive, but if you're looking for a restaurant that is out of this world this is the one.

Fine dining and "best places" are not mutually exclusive. Oberlin, Gracie's, or Persimmons are probably the only restaurants in Providence that would be categorized as fine dining. The real question is what type of experience are you looking for? Any particular cuisine? Do you want a tasting menu?

Not really fancy, but Los Andes really top notch food and a great environment. My parents like it more than CAV and Hemenways
