People have sometimes been driving almost highway speeds in this neighborhood, not stopping at stop signs or even bothering to look out for other drivers or pedestrians. A car should not be hit with such force that it FLIPS on these streets. Thankfully, nobody was severely injured. But…what the fuck. Cmon.

I used to live in Coolidge and that market was great. Plus there was a green line stop right at the front door. Again—not built for drivers so, yes, it was a nightmare for drivers. Sorry—go to stop and shop instead if you want east parking. The world doesn’t revolve around someone from Barrington easily driving everywhere they want to go.

With no info can’t really help you with the first question, but below are some recommendations for the others:

Parks:

  • Lincoln Woods: a bit outside the city but big park with lots of woods to explore, usually my go to when I need some nature
  • India Point: Pretty central, nice place for a picnic, connects to a bike path, can walk to Fox Point with lots of shops from here
  • Prospect Terrace: small park with an incredible view, perfect spot to read
  • Dexter Park: on the west side of town, surrounded by beautiful huge old houses, lots of doggos here, pretty much prime dog watching spot in the city

Bars/Breweries:

  • Isco Spirits
  • Moniker Brewery
  • Glou
  • Courtland Club
  • The Avery
  • Long live Beer
  • Beer on Earth
  • Bayberry Beer Hall
  • The Royal Bobcat
