For the most authentic experience I’d say Qatar

Not the exactly the same clientele I’m sure. PVD is great at supporting local small businesses. I’m sure everyone will turn out for them

How does a lift gate extend over the curb?

Oh huh, didn't realize they're the coffee shop that's right on the East Bay bike path. Maybe I'll pop over there before work sometime and bike some beans home. Thanks for the rec!

No. Thats a lift gate from the rear of the trailer. Truck should be able to drop load either direction and be dock adjacent unless it's a side loader which isnt the case here. The truck could easily have parkes the other direction. The ONLY excusable reason is if some vehicle was illegally parked on the TJ side of the street forcing the truck to that approach.

Haha yeah sorry, mistyped at first. I'll admit I'm not the most knowledgeable when it comes to coffee! But yes hopefully a good sign that the house blend is roasted by a local company :)

last time I hear it, I drove around trying to echo locate the source. IT was one of those cars from the above link, on royal drive by AAA. It was so loud, I did not want to get close to it. I thought it might break my windows.

I see house blend, not house roast. But still a step in the right direction! Looking forward to checking it out
Borealis is great, so I have high hopes 👌🏼

I actually happened to take a picture of some of the goods for sale on the shelf, including their house blend!

If you can't make out the text it says:
Whole bean
Countries: Indonesia & Colombia
Roast: Medium-Dark Roast
Processed: Washed
Tastes Like: Dark Chocolate, Walnut, Molasses
Roasted by Borealis Coffee Company

I knew the original owners of PVDonuts were opening a new place and have been excited for this. The Donut quality has gone down hill since it changed hands and well, Jew”ish” baked goods are more my jam anyway. Super stoked to cram my face with fresh baked goodness

But again, none of this is unique to Providence. There have been empty lots sitting around the pedestrian bridge area for years. That’s as pedestrian friendly area as you can get in PVD.
So yeah these things would be great but we are way past that point unfortunately! Gotta work with what exists now.

Do you by chance know what kind of coffee beans they use? Hoping it’s a local roaster

I’m not opposed to a new place! But competition is a very real thing and brand loyalty is strong with Starbucks. You may hate it but some people are oddly obsessed

That Starbucks is always packed plus fuck Starbucks, sure Rebelle is close its also open 3 days a week in the morning and does breakfast, Seven Stars is closeish but there's always room for more.

I’ll def check it out but I’m surprised it opened there with Starbucks, Rebelle, and seven stars so close by. A lot of competition.

Was just about to ask this as I’m looking for places to watch Wales/Cymru’s games. Monday won’t be a problem, aside from wondering how USA fans will be if there’s a Welsh/Cymraeg fan among them, especially if Wales/Cymru wins.

The original owners of PVDonuts are still the original owners…it has never “changed hands”
