How far in advance do you recommend ordering? Can I do it same day?

Just a heads up, if you are planning on grabbing bread for dinner next week, make sure you order it.

They also have a location on Admiral St. I prefer that one, personally.

It a class D substance. May induce white flour induced blood sugar spike blackouts in large quantities. I could eat the whole loaf.

Bread is really good and the people that run it are great people also. I also love their party pizza.

I like the Sicilian bread. You can get it sliced or as is.

Palmieri’s, DePetrillo’s, the original Italian bakery, buonos, LaSalle. Pick literally any of these and you can’t go wrong

Let me add as a coda to this thread that I’m excited to try this place, it looks great. I’ll probably go this weekend. And there are few things LESS black and white than a discussion about gentrification…

Never been, but after all the stories I have read I don't think I ever will.
Looks like Oak will also have limited hours/days, because no one wants baked goods or coffee after 2pm.

Ah I hear you. It's the opposite for me for sure. I don't mind crowded sidewalks and stuff, always makes me happy to see so many people. But crowded grocery stores... Not a fan myself

This. Not to mention they create a huge mess around the shop. From the people that go there that don't know how to park/don't park in a crosswalk to the amount of garbage left around the shop itself as they refuse to provide a garbage can. When they do a donut/donut hole with one of those pipettes they are littered around up and down Wickenden and Ives. They also refuse to clear the sidewalks during snowstorms except for a small spot in front of their door.

If you want to get into the trades, some people will hire you as a laborer (sweep the floors, set up my tools, etc.) My brother worked in a body shop during summers when he was your age. I worked on a private farm as a teen, and I did maintenance at a summer camp. As far as work for after school? Try a restaurant or fast food. But put your education first, no matter what.

Although, there are several career or long term side gig directions you can go in a restaurant

Was my first job years and years ago, it's not a job you can really get away with being a moody teen though, the suburban Karen's in the places where Dave's are do not put up with attitude and will try to get you fired if you don't smile at them.
