Damn… ever tried Chong Qing House in east providence? I wonder how it compares. The sichuan dishes I’ve had there in the past were really good.

King's Garden in Cranston, Silver Crystal in West Warwick, Golden Chopsticks in Westerly and Golden Palace in Uncasville CT all have some Dim Sum offerings.

Will second Chengdu Taste; hands down the best place I've had in Providence

Chengdu taste is your best bet, but I lived in China for ten years and ate many a meal and must say that Chengdu taste was a let down. Too salty or too sweet. Balance was lacking in almost every dish I ordered. Bummer!

Follow up, sorry. Bottles definitely has soju as well. Dont know of bars that serve it, but the Denden on division does.

Seconding Bottles. Also, the East End in Fox Point is connected with them. That doesn't mean they'll be serving it at any given time, but I've seen a Suntory cocktail there before.

Chong Qing in East Providence. Went today and it’s super good Sichuan! No dim sum though :(

The Ramones were the loudest I've seen, I think. It's hard to know for sure because that was in February of 1996 and I've had constant tinnitus since then that has never faded for so much as a minute.

I’ve consistently heard from coworkers that Belmont (a suburb) is a great place for families, including schools, if you do want to live closer and want space. It’s more dense, of course, and still pricey, but nowhere near as pricey as in the city. My coworker pays ~$3800/mo for a 2,000 sq ft house with a garage and it only takes her around 30 minutes to drive into work (near MIT) with traffic. She also has the option to take the red line in from Alewife or the commuter rail.
I guess it also depends on if you want more suburban, more suburban that’s closer to the city so you get more amenities, or urban.
I live in Mansfield right next to the commuter rail because I can’t take cities or dense areas. When I take it in it takes me about 40 minutes to get to work if I take my electric scooter with me, but the Providence line has gotten packed as of late so I don’t take my scooter anymore, so it’s usually 50 minutes.

And not many people want to live in a shitty old 900 sq ft apartment that costs $4k/mo with kids, a spouse, and a dog lol.
