Reply to Miso Paste? by JeffFromNH

I just saw some miso at the Market Basket in Warwick today. It was in a small bag, not the 1 pounders. Eastside Market on Pitman St also used to carry miso, but they’ve gone downhill in terms of specialty stuff now, so not sure if they’d have it. Good Fortune is definitely your best bet though.

I think you’re right. The people there are generally half my age and not particularly warm. Staff is usually good, though.

I try to go weekday mornings to avoid people hanging out waiting for me to finish figuring out a problem, haha. But more belay partners would be great.

Oh cool! I've rappelled on rock, but have not climbed a whole lot. I’ve never done ice, but it looks fun.

I climb at that Rockspot! That gym is essentially the URI rock gym ( with the exception of an older crowd that shows up on weekends), so I think it can be tough to meet people there if you're not college-aged (I'm not). And on that note, I'm always looking for partners! I get sick of climbing all the autobelays. And I don't know if you do outdoor, but I'm always psyched to meet folks who want to go do sport, trad, and ice.

PPAC and The Vets are both worth looking into for their upcoming events.

Edit: if either of you has a student ID you can go to the PPAC 2 hours before a show and get 50% off tickets :)
