I adopted my dog when I was staying in Puerto Rico from a woman who didn’t want her anymore. I was in PR because I didn’t want to stay in NYC during the pandemic. Then I moved to RI because my remote job didn’t want me to stay in PR. I couldn’t leave my dog in PR because there like 2 shelter facilities in PR and there are a lot of strays in PR, if I give my dog to someone, she will most likely end up a stray. So I paid about 3k to have my dog shipped to the states. I had to pay 3k because she’s half Pitbull, so no airlines would take her, I had to book carrier that specializes in shipping pit bulls. I’m going away for 2 months because I need to plan my wedding in Domincan Republic which takes place in august. My sitter bailed on me so I ended up paying 7 grand to board and have my dog trained while I’m gone. So before you call anyone irresponsible maybe you should find out what’s going on. Thank you.
